This morning while having coffee with Senior Editor Samson Mar, we were trying to update all of our Blog / Micro-Blog services using the ever useful Ping.FM web application.

After a quick look at http://www.Ping.fm we notice that the domain is now parked at Godaddy.com

We sincerely hope that those of you who were using this great service can still remember all your logins for your individual Micro Blogs, Blogs, and Social Networks!

      Ping.FM Yesterday                             Ping.FM Today

We’re not sure what’s going on, but as soon as we do, you’ll be the first to know!

*Update* Ping.FM is Still Down. No guarantees that it’ll be back :(

Within the last couple of days or so, you may have noticed that the NerdyBlog.com forums have been down, and the link has been removed. The reason for this is simple. We didn’t feel that the forum system that we implemented early into the game was a satisfactory experience for our users, and that there were far too many bugs and issues with the forum.

We decided a little upgrade was needed, and as such we have finally finished upgrading the forums and making sure that the experience in them is much more user oriented and easier to have some fun with.

All user accounts and posts have been flushed as we are using a new system that was having issues with the data from our old forum software.

Please feel free to create an account, and join us for some one on one discussion about whatever you like! The forums are up, active, and ready to be abused so have at er! You’ll find the link in the sidebar as well as in this post. Just click the link that says The Forums.

Visit the Forum!

Enjoy!

instinct For the past week or so, I have had the chance to play with a Samsung Instinct from Bell Mobility here in Canada.

I must say I was hoping that this phone would make me want to take my iPhone and smash it into tiny bits and pieces! As it turns out, this phone really disappointed me. It seems as though Samsung is back to it’s old tricks giving us an unresponsive UI, and applications that do nothing but crash the phone!

Those of you who follow me on Twitter (AGoldenberg) must have seen the update I posted about crashing this phone 4 times right out of the box!

Hit the Jump if you Dare!

go_color_black Once again, our friends at Seagate have sent us a hot little drive to drool over and fondle until we got around to writing this post about the FreeAgent Go!

A new addition to the Seagate line of external drives, the FreeAgent Go delivers on the excellence that Seagate is known for with their drive solutions.

The FreeAgent Go is definitely a drive to have if you have a laptop and are a serious traveler! This drive is tiny, compact, and super sexy! The designers over at Seagate definitely know what makes technogeeks such as myself drool!

This drive supports USB 2.0 but the transfer is rather quick!

The unit we received here is black with white lighting to let you know when the drive is being accessed, read from, or written to. Believe me when I say this is a very good looking drive and rather small.

To give you an idea here are the physical dimensions:

0.49 in H x 3.15 in W x 5.12 in L (12.5 mm x 80 mm x 130 mm) Weight: 5.64 oz (0.16 kg)

The FreeAgent Go is a compact and amazingly portable drive.

Seagate has really outdone themselves as far as portable drives go!

The Seagate FreeAgent Go is available in 250, 320, and 500GB capacities. It is also available in a variety of colors. (Silver, Black, Blue, and Red)

If you own a notebook PC, and need more storage the FreeAgent Go is your best bet!
