Hello, good evening (maybe) and welcome to the first of many serial features from myself, Steve “Da Limey” Fielding!
Before I bite into the “phone-marvel” they call the Nokia N95-4 I must, by Finnish law (possibly), review the standard specs. So lets get to it……Hit the Jump for all the N95 Goodness! Read the rest of this entry »

Hey there all you NerdyBloggers!
After a long thought about the colors we have been using for the hoodies, bracelets, as well as for stuff coming soon, we decided to revamp the blog a bit!
Now our coloring is spot on, and everything looks 100% more professional.
I would personally like to thank Todd Chambers (Rizak the Really Horrible) for the brand new header image he made for us without hesitation.
I would also like to thank everyone that sticks around and continues to support the site!
Have an Awesome Rest of the Day Guys!

This is actually an appreciation post.
This is a post to thank the hard-working men and women over at TheAwristocrat.com for the amazing work they did in making our NerdyBlog.com bracelets! The service was prompt, and exactly what we could have wanted from them. Their prices are amazing, and their customer service is outstanding.
Let’s get honest here for a second.
It should come as no surprise that when we were looking to get the bracelets made, we contacted several custom merchandise vendors who in turn gave us quotes and information. Any of the vendors that we checked out either had a minimum order of 1000-3000, and didn’t even have a friendly tone of voice when speaking to us.
In the end, we found TheAwristocrat.com and decided to give them a whirl for a few simple reasons.
Definitely if you are in the market for any kind of marketing / promotional good, check them out! They do a lot of awesome stuff and they’re simply amazing!

After a snafu with UPS, and a whole lot of waiting, the wristbands have made it here all the way from the US of A. They look great and fit rather well.
They are available for purchase directly from myself or Sam at $2 each, or if you are not in the Ottawa area, you can order from the shop page located here. If you’d like to know what postage is to where you live, contact Orders@NerdyBlog.com with your shipping address, and we will find out for you.
Feel free to contact me for your own bracelets Andrew [at] NerdyBlog [dot] com.

Looking at my inbox, I see an e-mail here from Josh over at NameDevelopment.com who read our article Motorola Z6M Doesn’t Deserve the Motorola Name.
Josh Writes:
Hi Andrew,
We really enjoyed reading your January 28th blog post, Motorola Z6M Doesn’t Deserve the Motorola Name, and had an opportunity to link to it in our April 24th blog post.
Our blog post, Motorola Naming and Branding Set to Bounce Back, discussed the brand architecture of Motorola and compared it to Apple in terms of introducing new products to climb back to the top of the industry.
Our blog (http://www.namedevelopment.com/blog) discusses marketing, naming, and branding from a linguistic and strategic perspective.
We thought that you’d find this post (and others) of interest, and it may be of interest to your readers.
If you find the post at http://www.namedevelopment.com/blog/archives/2008/04/motorola_naming.html worthwhile, and we think you will, please consider sharing it with your blog readers.
Thank you, and continued success with NerdyBlog.com. It’s a very resourceful and well-written blog.

Thanks for the kind words Josh, and everyone please check out his article on Motorola branding where we were quoted! We love to hear from readers of our pissed off ranting and rambling about crappy gadgetry from a company that we have grown to expect more from!
Thanks Josh!
