Price
This is one of the most important factors in determining if the HTC Shift is right for you. Pricing is starting at around $1500 to $2000, though that will probably to come down shortly after supply increases. That is a lot of “hard-earned” money to pay for something which can’t replace your main computer and when you can get wi-fi laptops at half the price its a difficult dicision to make in purchasing a Shift unit. However, I am happy to say if you’re in the market to get an UMPC, the Shift is worth a long, hard look. It’s pretty much the only game in town with a real keyboard and 3G connectivity.

The phone will features the Google Browser, Webmail and Google Maps. (Surprise, surprise) When your using the street view feature on your phone, (in Google Maps) kinda like what you can do on your computer, the map will turn to whatever direction the phone is. Also included in the phone are compass, magnifying tool and Pac Man. Common man who doesn’t love Pac Man?

Hey! Are you addicted to email? Don’t you wish you could have an option where you could be locked out for 15 mins? No? Really? Well Gmail is giving you the option anyways!
This seems to be becoming a new standard for Internet companies. Testing beta software through their consumers.

Thanks to loosing my day job, I have finally had time to check out all of the cool applications people have been sending me, and I really like Seesmic.com
Seesmic.com is very similar to YouTube in the sense that you upload your videos for the whole world to see. When you’re finished recording, you can save the video and embed it rather easily, or post a link for people to watch it right on Seesmic.com
The idea Seesmic.com is trying to put out there is the idea of video discussions. You post a video about any topic you like, and other users come and take a look, and respond rather quickly. Within three minutes of my very first video being posted, I had two responses from across North America.
This is truly an awesome concept, and the application works really well as you will be able to see from the video below!

These numbers will enable Canadian users everywhere to take advantage of the Jott.com service which is totally free, and is in public beta stages. The service is totally cool, and really handy for people that don’t own Blackberries or any other form of smart phone.
Jott enables users

In the last 24hrs, Pownce has gone from being a social website where the only way to join was to be invited, to being completely open for anyone to join.
What is Pownce you ask? Pownce describes itself as “…a way to send stuff to your friends”. Pownce had been around for about 6 months if I had to guess and hadn’t really stormed onto the social networking scene. Pownce basically takes what Twitter does and adds more features. Twitter is place to constantly update what you are doing. Think of Twitter like a one sentence blog submitted multiple times a day. Constant status messages so to speak. Well, Pownce takes this approach and instead of just text status messages, you can send or post pictures, links, files, events, and even the more regularly used status type updates.
Why join this site? I don’t know. I don’t see anything terribly innovative about it. I’m trying it out but it just doesn’t have enough for me to sway from Facebook. Overall, my personal opinion is that it isn’t anything special, nothing to run and join but if you want to try something different, check it out.
If you want to see a profile on Pownce, feel free to check out mine by clicking the banner below:
