Digsby is an IM client that supports many different IM clients and social networking sites and offers an amazing experience over similar clients such as Pidgin.
Digsby supports the following social networks / IM platforms:
- AIM
- MSN
- Yahoo
- Google Talk
- ICQ
- Jabber
- Facebook Chat
- Hotmail
- GMail
- Yahoo Mail
- IMAP Accounts
- POP Accounts
- Myspace
This client fully integrates all of the above mentioned social networks, email providers, and IM platforms into a simple and easy to use IM application. Hit the jump for screenshots, and more info!
- Posting a New Tweet to Twitter is Easy!
- Use MSN, AIM, ICQ, Facebook Chat, Jabber, Google Talk, and Yahoo Messenger
- Easily Check E-Mail Accounts, Post to Twitter, or Check In on Facebook
I must say that the people working on Digsby have thought of almost everything, and this is a rather excellent offering considering that Digsby is free of charge!
After using Digsby for approximately 3 weeks, I have completely moved over to the platform. Digsby even supports video conferencing! I have not had the chance to test it, however it looks promising as most Multi-IM clients don’t offer any kind of video calling / conferencing.
Digsby is a great IM application, and we highly recommend checking it out for yourself at Digsby.org!
Now if I could just get an iPhone application just like this client, I would be one happy panda!

I must admit you have gotten me hooked on Digsby, the only problem I’ve fount that I can point out (I’m not sure if it’s just me or if this is a universal problem) But Digsby likes to disconnect often while I’m chatting with someone and then I have to do a lot of copy/pasting when this happens.. Which is often. Maybe I’m unlucky I don’t know, but if it is a problem with the program I hope it does get fixed soon. I love this program, it’s sexy and easy to use, I just have problems with connectivity which is an issue that can get very annoying very fast.

The connectivity thing I haven’t quite figured out yet. I was thinking it was an issue with Digsby, however I know that the Twitter part of Digsby disconnects quite a bit due to Twitters massive amount of downtime as of late.
I like it, and I don’t seem to get disconnected from MSN, AIM, or any of the other clients other than Twitter for the above stated reasons.
