samandmax.jpgHere’s a post for all you Wii fanboys. Sam and Max is coming to the Wii. Fans of the game will experience a revamped version of the 1993 PC game.

From NintendoLife.com

Retail distributor lets it slip in latest press release - adventure fans go wild

Point and click adventure fans should prepare to get very animated indeed – it would appear that everyone’s favourite crime-busting animal duo Sam and Max are coming to the Wii.

For those of you that don’t know, Sam and Max are a detective dog and psychopathic rabbit respectively. Created by Steve Purcell in 1987, they found worldwide fame thanks to the sublime Lucasarts ‘point and click’ adventure Sam and Max Hit The Road, which appeared on PCs in 1993. More recently they’ve starred in a new series of episodic PC games which have been especially well-received by fans.

The series is produced by TellTales Games and distributed by European company JoWood, the latter of which appeared to let slip that a Wii instalment of Sam and Max’s zany antics is in the pipeline:

JoWood plans to adapt their successful licensed adventure titles for consoles, one of which is Sam and Max, which will soon be brought to the Wii.

2693.jpgToday Samsung has released details on a new 25.5 inch monitor they are producing.

Some of the key features are a height adjustable stand, built-in speakers, full 1080p input, and super fast response time (5MS).

This monitor also has a maximum display resolution of 1920 x 1200 and a contrast ratio of 1000:1

This is a very nice looking monitor for someone who needs a large desktop work surface, and likes to listen to music while droning away at some philosophy paper that was due last week and I never even started on……. I mean uh….. yeah….

This monitor looks great, and has a nice large display resolution that would allow you to be quite productive.

[ From Samsung ]

The 2693HM has everything that you need. With a Height Adjustable Stand (HAS), built-in-speakers, HDMI technology, full 1080p input and fast response time, you will be able to power through a work day and watch a movie or play games with all of the extra free time that you will have. Not to mention, the eye catching bezel design will fit perfectly in public view or in the comfort of your home office. The 2693HM is Microsoft Vista Certified and works hard while looking good. With the 2693HM it’s not hard to imagine.

Maybe we should contact Samsung and see if maybe we can get our hands on one?  Do they even know we exist? My guess is probably not, but they will soon enough!
